Intellectual Capital Benchmarking Model for Nonprofit Organisations
Eric Kong.
Benchmarking is a systematic process for improving performance by making detailed comparisons between organisations and using the information to catalyse improvements. Benchmarking is growing in popularity in the nonprofit organisations. However, the nonprofit organisations are now challenged to remain relevant and effective in the changing world, the traditional benchmarking techniques can no longer fulfil the future needs by the sector. An Intellectual Capital Benchmarking Model is therefore needed to lead nonprofit organisations to benchmark their intellectual capability with other organisations in the same activity. This Intellectual Capital Benchmarking Model will lead nonprofit organisations to superior performance. This paper discusses the importance and benefits of applying an intellectual capital benchmarking model in nonprofit organisations.
